The #1 Mistake Leaders Make When Conflict Surfaces

#1 Mistake Leaders Make When Conflict Surfaces with Penny Tremblay

I hope you downloaded the 5 Mistakes Leaders Make when Conflict Surfaces last week.  People love it.  To add additional expertise and stories that will help you avoid these mistakes, I’m leading a short 30-minute webinar on this topic next Wednesday, April 13th, 12:30 pm to 1 pm ET.  I have a complimentary seat for you.  Click here to claim your spot.

Hands down, THE #1 biggest mistake leaders make when it comes to conflict is avoiding it because it allows the conflict to gain momentum.

Here’s how I like to explain why avoiding conflict is such a HUGE mistake…

Imagine there is a boulder at the top of a cliff and let’s say this boulder gets nudged and starts moving. If you try to stop it before it starts rolling, you will have much more success than if you try to stop it once it’s already rolling down the hill, picking up speed. It’s the same with conflict. If you avoid it, hoping it will go away, it will simply gain momentum and destroy everything in its path. But, if you deal with it right away before it gains momentum, you are much more likely to be able to handle it successfully.

If you’ve got a conflict in your workplace that’s gaining momentum, don’t wait. Book a free discovery call with me.

The high cost of conflict is both a corporate expense and a personal/emotional cost that can be avoided.  I have an online, live training program launching next month, and I would love for you to be part of the very first one!  Register yourself or your team members with our preferred client pricing:

Relationships and Conflict Management for Managers and Supervisors

16-hour certificate program – live, virtual sessions

I’m looking forward to helping you become the leader that helps people embrace conflict!
