I am thankful for the readership that these monthly articles have created. The leadership tips I’ve shared with you have focused on empowering your unlimited potential, greater enjoyment, and greater abundance in the workplace and in life.
Contributing to magazines, trade journals, and newspapers has allowed me to achieve a milestone of over 100 articles to date about personal and professional development. Through this monthly discipline of sharing my thoughts with you, I have learned the value of giving to others without expecting a return. I feel blessed because of your continuous support and readership, bookings for training and speaking engagements, purchase of my products, and words of encouragement. In giving, I have discovered wealth and abundance.
The lesson I have learned and want to share this month is the power in giving without expecting a return. Think of one thing that you can give right now, and then act on it. For example, let’s say you want 100% better relationships. For everyone 100 people you know or care about, you can improve your relationship with them, each by 1%. Add it up and you’ve met your goal of 100% better relationships.
The model of giving is becoming a popular trend among companies that recognize the value in social responsibility. In fact, I recently heard a local radio commercial for a Mazda dealership that’s making financial contributions to our food bank for every car sold.
For the month of December, I will be donating 50% of all product sales to the charity of your choice. Order our products by phone, fax, or e-mail, name a charity, and we’ll send them a cheque on your behalf. It’s the season for giving and you, too, can give and get rich—by giving the gift of personal and professional development to friends, family, staff and managers.Reap the satisfaction of appreciation and gratitude by giving to others and supporting charity. Living can but does not have to cost money.
You can give a simple compliment, a card or handwritten note of appreciation; your knowledge, time, prayers or even a smile. Think of one thing that you can give right now, and then act on it.
Wishing you all the riches that this holiday season brings,
Penny
P.S. I am so passionate about this concept that I have committed to writing my next book on this subject. How would you like to be part of a really cool book that provides stories and examples of the value of giving to others? I believe this book can provide a vehicle for the financial support of charities.
