Step 2 to PLAY NICE is L – Lighten Your Load

Step 2 Lighten Your Load with Penny Tremblay

To Lighten Your Load means to be aware of what you’re packing around, and sometimes that’s enough to avoid its old effects on new circumstances, but often we have to do a little more digging in our own sandbox to find the treasure of enlightenment.

We all have old programming and attachment to old experiences, unresolved conflict, emotions and stories (which are mostly fiction) but we bring them to the current situation.  I call this your ‘suitcase’ and it goes with you everywhere.

Watch to learn more on how to Lighten Your Load:

We need to look not only at what’s inside our suitcase, but how it’s getting entangled with others, where it stems from and why we are so attached to it.  Easier said than done, but doesn’t the thought of being lighter sound inspiring?  These old thought patterns have us resolving current and adult challenges with childlike thinking or fear from old experiences.

I’ve had oodles of workplace conflict resolution assignments where people get clear on how the stories of their past are limiting their potential.  So, be aware, open and willing to see what you need to see about yourself because as I always experience, most of the work involved in conflict resolution is an inside job.  The good news is…you’re in the driver’s seat, and you get to live out the amazing vision you have of your life.

There are 6 more tips, so download the complete Roadmap to Move Through Conflict toward improved cooperation and collaboration in your workplace and watch for a new tip to be delivered to your inbox each week.

Relationships are important.  There are times when entanglements require intervention.  Reach out to an HR person, conflict resolution specialist, or mediator like myself.  I’m committed to helping you restore your workplace to peace and productivity. If you can’t find your way, call Penny Tremblay, because the high cost of conflict is avoidable, and profits can be used for better things.

In case you missed it, Step 1 in the PLAY NICE system is P – Position yourself for success
