There are many mistakes leaders should avoid when dealing with workplace conflict. Over the next several weeks, I will be sharing the top 5 that I have seen in my many years of facilitating workplace conflict resolution.
#4 – ACCOMMODATE DIVISION
Accommodating people to work apart is a big mistake over time. I’ve seen many crooked lines on the org chart to accommodate people who can’t get along with their bosses, and it is always fertile grounds for conflict. I’ve also seen colleagues separated physically or across departments to avoid conflict and it isn’t the best solution.
What is best is that people seek to understand each other and come to a workable solution, not a ‘special arrangement’ that keeps them from working together when everyone else around them is expected to get along.
That’s where I come in… I’ve created a report, The 5 Biggest Mistakes Leaders Make When Conflict Surfaces and invite you to download it. Click the button below to get your FREE copy today!
