Common Issues Of Promoting From Within

I get it.  You want to promote your people, leverage their corporate experience and knowledge, and help them climb the corporate ladder.

Problem = One of the root causes of conflict that I’ve experienced while working with many organizations is that supervisors promoted from the front line level don’t yet have the skills to manage people.  Some tend to say the wrong thing, or say things the wrong way, or handle issues and problems less effectively than they could.

Solution = Training

I also know that a lot of the leadership training out there tends to be fairly generic, and doesn’t focus on the needs of industrial, operations and manufacturing leaders, which are the majority of companies here in Northern Ontario.  So I began to search for resources that I could add to my training programs and discovered Front Line Leadership.

In this interview with Greg Schinkel, President of Unique Training & Development Inc., you’ll find out what is uniquely perfect about their curriculum and delivery, and how it offers a lasting impact on building leaders in the manufacturing, mining, operations and distribution industries.

Listen to the recording, it’s worth the 10 minutes and you’ll feel like you’re part of the conversation.

Imagine the potential when you merge an already enthusiastic and interactive speaker and trainer like me, with a whole other level of unique development including highly interactive sessions, lots of variety, video and other fun engaging activities, and the follow up guidance that requires participants to check in on how they’re applying this content and it’s impact on their department…. You get high impact, lasting, massive leadership growth and development!

Yep, the ultimate team is doing their very first session of many to come, right here in North Bay on November 28/29 and all are welcome to attend… well at least until the room is full.

Topics covered

  • how to motivate, engage, retain and be the employer of choice for employees, (yes, that includes younger ones 😉)
  • how to resolve and prevent conflict
  • how to get the team to buy into change
  • how to communicate with a spirit of mutual respect
  • how to lead by example, and balance friendship and leadership

Here’s a link to more information and registration.

This program can be brought onsite if a company wants a dedicated session.  Register today or call me to discuss it.  You can also call the President himself of Unique Developments, Greg Schinkel about training possibilities.

I’m so excited about the potential to build more leaders in Northern Ontario manufacturing, mining, operations, distribution and other industries.
