Making your Car a Sanctuary for Silence

Conflict in the Workplace COVID Survey

How much silence do you welcome into your day? Do you wake up to a noisy alarm clock? Turn on the television or computer as you are going through your morning routine? Listen to the radio during your commute to work? Do you repeat this same noise for the rest of the day and into the evening until you retire for the night? Most people do. When was the last time you sat in silence for an hour?

Travelling in your car can be time spent in silence and solitude.
Even if you use public transit or rely on a carpool, you can quiet your mind for a mental break. Turn off the sound system, pay attention to the road, and just be in the moment. It is actually very therapeutic to take time to just be, and to give your mind a break from all media and messages.

This is a great time to talk to your higher self, think, reflect, and tap into the solitude of just ‘being with yourself’ to energize and recharge your batteries.
